TritonTrak Plant Tracking System puts a stop to a Mobile Traffic Light System theft

A Manchester based utilities contractor was delighted this week as the TritonTrak Micro Plant Tracking System was used to recover their Mobile Temporary Traffic Light System.

The non-powered asset, which was working on the roadside in Oldham, had been fitted with the TritonTrak Micro Plant Tracking System only days earlier. The company had taken the step to protect their assets as temporary traffic light systems are left constantly exposed to theft, sometimes for days on end.

The theft was discovered by the company’s employees when they arrived on site to begin their work. A quick call to the Director ensued and he was able to track the unit straight away on the Plant Tracking mobile app and start the recovery process.

The Traffic lights had been hidden almost two miles away. The site team were informed of the location and the equipment was recovered and back on the site within the hour.
